Chanelle Mansell – Director/ Head Teacher

Chanelle was born in South Africa where she started dancing at the age of 3. At the age of 5 she joined the PACT ballet school of dance where she learnt ballet, character and free movement. She also took part in different staged shows like Nutcracker, Spartacus, Sleeping Beauty with the PACT Ballet Company. In 2002 Chanelle got accepted into the Youth Dance Company of Tshwane where she worked her way from being part of the corps de ballet to soloist to principle ballerina. In 2006 she had the honour of being Cinderella in the staged production of Cinderella. She trained in the Royal Academy of dancing syllabus where she completed all grades up to Advance 2. In her years of dance, although ballet was her main focus, she did jazz, hip hop, modern dancing and contemporary. She also had dance as a subject at school where dance anatomy and history was a requirement. At the end of 2007 Chanelle finished school and went on to audition for the South African Ballet Company where only 5 people a year got accepted. She was one of the very lucky dancers to get chosen. Between 2007 and 2010 she danced at a range of different events and competitions qualifying for the world champs in America. In 2010 she started teaching ballet for Kim Hoeft Dance Studio. In 2011 she was asked to buy Kim Hoeft Dance Studio which, is now known as Interfusion Dance Studio. Katie Murdoch - Yoga Teacher

Katia is a passionate yoga and mindfulness teacher. She completed her initial 200hr Yoga Alliance ® training in the birth place of yoga, India. It is here that the foundation for her yoga journey was set, learning the fundamentals of a safe and effective Hatha/Ashtanga style of yoga.

Shortly after her return to South Africa, her place of birth, she fell pregnant with the first of her two children. As her physical body changed in shape and form, so did her yoga practice. she seeked further training to discover more on how to best support the body during pregnancy. As her own belly grew, so she taught other soon to be mothers. It was a profound and life changing experience that has set the path of where she is today... supporting and nurturing mothers during a time of growth, in a well-rounded practice.

She has always worked closely with young children being a qualified primary school teacher in South Africa. In an attempt to further her understanding on how to best include all children's learning styles and abilities in the classroom, she attained an Honours Degree in Learning Support. As her own children grew, her fondness for the growing child ignited even further into her yoga journey. In Cape Town, she attended an internationally accredited training to teach children's yoga. It was here that she found the remaining piece of the puzzle, addressing children's emotional and physical needs, in a mindful and fun practice. A happy and calm child, is a learning child.

To assist with decreasing stress within families, she has since expanded her training in postnatal yoga for mums and bubs, restorative yoga for a gentle healing experience, and yin yoga for a deep, connective tissue stretch and nourishment. See you on the mat for a perfect antidote to a busy life!
